Project UTS kuliah Tk Internet saya adalah membuat website berbasis joomla untuk program studi baru di Ubaya. Bisa milih salah satu yaitu Sistem Informasi atau multimedia. Mahasiswa harus menambahkan module atau component yang sekiranya cocok untuk dipasang disitu, misalnya componen untuk download dan component untuk foto gallery. Tidak semua component yang tersedia di internet dapat memenuhi kebutuhan web site sebuah jurusan. Misalnya untuk Menu Katalog Tugas Akhir (yang memang saya wajibkan harus ada walaupun mahasiswanya aja belum ada:) ).
Mau tidak mau harus dibuat sendiri. Tapi tidak perlu yang susah-susah, cukup komponen sederhana saja yang :
- tidak berbentuk paket (zip) seperti component yg seharusnya
- tidak punya interface untuk admin
- tidak punya interaksi dengan framework joomla kecuali saat dipanggil saja dalam menu.
Nah untuk membuat seperti ini cukup mudah, caranya yaitu:
- Buat directory baru di directory component. Sesuaikan namanya dengan componen yang akan dibuat, dan awali dengan kata 'com_', misal : com_katalogtugasakhir
- buatlah sebuah file php dengan nama yang sama dengan nama directory diatas, tapi tanpa kata 'com_', misal : katalogtugasakhir.php
- Nah tambahkan kode2 php dalam file php diatas seperti memprogram di php biasanya. Tapi perlu diingat bahwa running directory yang ada dalam file tadi adalah directory utama joomla. Jadi misal kita punya website dengan alamat www/joomla, dan dalam php tadi ada link ke 'images/coverTA.jpg', maka program akan mencari image yang ada di www/joomla/images/coverTA.jpg,bukan di www/joomla/components/com_katalogtugasakhir/images/coverTA.jpg.
- Untuk membuat link ke componen ini, buat menu baru dengan target adalah 'url link'. Isikan nama menunya. Kemudian targetnya diisi index.php?option=com_katalogtugasakhir.
dah, begitu saja sudah bisa jalan seperti layaknya component.
Saya sendiri pernah membuat component untuk kebutuhan Foto gallery, Soalnya component-component yang ada biasanya berupa flash dan foto2nya
tidak dapat di download oleh pengunjung, sudah coba ini itu tidak ada yang cocok juga, akhirnya buat sendiri. component yang saya buat akan
otomatis membuat preview thumbnail dari foto2 yang tersimpan di direktori tertentu dalam folder images.
Jadi tidak perlu pakai manajemen file segala, cukup bikin direktori dan taruh foto2 disitu.
Hasilnya seperti yang terpasang di album foto keluarga.
